Visitors to a popular tourist site were shocked when the swing chain, on which two women were swinging, broke.
The attraction is located on the edge of a cliff in Russia’s Sulak canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world.
Both the women who enjoyed the attraction, as well as their relatives and other tourists who were in the place were scared of their lives when one of the chains it broke as they headed for the cliff and caused them a spectacular fall.
Fortunately, beyond the panic they only suffered a few injuries, as a small wooden platform located beyond the edge of the cliff stopped the fall.
“They were scared and scratched, but none of them suffered serious injuries,” a source told the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.
The Dagestan Ministry of Tourism has indicated that the swing “did not meet safety standards” and now the authorities are “carrying out the relevant checks to ensure that nothing endangers the life and health” of people.
