City of Hamm – Environment and Corona: Easter and traditional bonfires are prohibited this year. All registered Easter fires were therefore burned down in a controlled manner by the end of March.
Citizens who have still collected greenery or wood to burn on an Easter fire are not allowed to burn them down. The burning of Easter fire material – even on your own property – is an administrative offense which – in addition to possible costs for a fire brigade – is punishable by a fine of up to 5,000 euros.
The material must be disposed of at the green waste collection point on Ökonomierat-Peitzmeier-Platz: All citizens can do this free of charge Monday to Saturday between 8.30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
