Primary school children are invited to a special edition of “Kids in Action” from Friday (June 25th) to Sunday (June 27th). On the last weekend before the summer holidays, you can visit over 30 sports clubs throughout the city and get to know a wide variety of sports first hand. These include American football, hockey, rowing and table tennis. Registration is now possible and takes place via the free Playsports app, which is available in the app and play store.
This time as decentralized offers
Stadtwerke Düsseldorf sponsors the “Kids in Action Day”, which is organized as a sports information day in the Arena Sports Park with all clubs. Due to the corona, the offer will be straightened out this year and the sports clubs will present themselves decentrally on their premises.
“The summer holidays are just around the corner and I am very pleased that we can make this offer to elementary school children,” says city director and sports director Burkhard Hintzsche. “During the coronavirus pandemic, the children had to restrict their freedom of movement and their social environment for a long time. Now it is time to give them back a piece of normality and a child-friendly life. The sports clubs were also only able to work to a limited extent and, in particular, have children and young people lost members. The ‘Kids in Action’ special gives clubs the opportunity to show how attractive, diverse and important their offer is. “
