Naturgy and the Asociación Civil De la Nada presented the diplomas to the 68 participants of the courses of Kitchen Assistant, Professional Pastry Shop and Professional Waiter that were held within the framework of the Solidarity Day Program.
The event was held virtually and was attended by participants from the Asociación Día Solidario, both from Spain and Argentina, as well as representatives from the Asociación Civil de la Nada, participants of the courses and their families.
They carried out the trainings for young people with fewer resources from the Luján party, they were developed through virtual classes during 2020, and in the first months of 2021 face-to-face practical classes were held to end the training program.
De la Nada Asociación Civil was created in December 2004 and since then it has tried to facilitate – through different programs – that people with low economic resources achieve their potential, putting their ideas into practice through work and education.
The Asociación Día Solidario is an NGO created in Spain by the collaborators of the Naturgy group, and in which employees from all the subsidiaries around the world participate today. The funds that make its actions possible come from the voluntary donation made by its employees, an annual contribution equivalent to one day’s salary; The company, for its part, doubles the amount collected by its collaborators and assumes the management expenses, so that 100% of the money collected is allocated to the selected annual project.
For the period 2020-2023, the destination of the Argentine institutional programs was chosen, and the projects that are being supported are: the Civil Association De la Nada with training in trade workshops; to the La Salle Foundation in González Catán with scholarships for 3 years for 486 students from the Initial and Primary level school; the Lamroth Hakkol Community Center, with computer training courses; and Fundación Mano Amiga with a scholarship for the entire stage of secondary education.
