The exact specification of the OnePlus Nord N100 smartphone, which is to become the first budgetary in the history of OnePlus, has appeared on the network. It will also be the cheapest phone of the Chinese brand, but it will not run out of steam.
OnePlus decided to invest part of its budget in the production of cheaper phones and more frequent launches – for example, OnePlus 9 is to debut sooner, but cool mediums will appear on the market before: Nord N10 and Nord N100.
Some fans of the brand will definitely be interested in the presentation of the last two models, because these are to be real alternatives to Xiaomi and Realme. We recently got to know the look of the more expensive Nord N10’s rear panel, and today we’ll talk about the much cheaper N100.
OnePlus Nord N100 is a budget phone without 5G
I say “much cheaper” because the low price is indicated by significant savings in the specification – never before has OnePlus created a smartphone with such basic equipment. If the price is only a few hundred zlotys, the Chinese may gain millions of new customers in some markets.
Let’s start with the fact that OnePlus will not break the record of the cheapest 5G phone – the next-generation network will be supported only by the more expensive Nord N10, while the Nord N100 will receive Snapdragon 460 processor without 5G connectivity.
It is noteworthy that Qualcomm released its chip in 2020 and modernized it by making 11 nm in the lithographic process. With eight cores, Kryo 240 Snapdragon 460 is currently one of the best SoC for budgeters.
Great battery and two cons
The configuration will be responsible for the memory of the new OnePlus 4 GB RAM + 64 GB flash. So we don’t have to worry about the speed of the smartphone, nor about the battery life – the cell will grow to 5000 mAh and will be charged via USB Type-C port.
Previously, it was said that the Nord N100 is to receive an even larger 6000 mAh battery, but as you can see, you can’t have everything – but there is nothing to complain about, because even with a 5000 mAh battery, two days of work should not be a problem.
It will complete the specification quite average IPS LCD screen with a diagonal of 6.52 inches and limited HD + resolution – I do not know why the creators decided to use a large display and low resolution duo.
The cameras are also not impressive. There will be three units on the rear panel, but only one of them will be usable: 13MP + 2MP + 2MP. The front camera will have a resolution of 8 MP.
I honestly admit that the description of the screen and cameras brings to mind the cheapest and unappealing smartphones from China, but perhaps the OnePlus Nord N100 will defend itself with efficiency and working time on a single charge. The premiere is on October 26.
This is what a middle class conqueror should look like. OnePlus Nord N10 would be great if not …
