This is certainly what many fans of a well-groomed film brawl have been waiting for: Terence Hill has indicated that he wants to shoot a western again.
“I promised my fans that I still had a few cartridges in my Colt. I’m ready for a new sunrise in the Wild West,” says the 83-year-old from the “Bild” newspaper. Terence Hillwho also has German roots, gained in the 1970s and 1980s alongside Bid Spencer (died 2016) celebrity.
“I didn’t want to do any more westerns. I thought it was pointless, I’d done everything and couldn’t do better. But then I found a book with the true story of an Italian nun who, at the end of the 19th century, lived with her peasant and very poor family from the Ligurian hinterland emigrated to America. From Cincinnati she decided to go west alone,” Hill, whose name was Mario Girotti, tells the Italian weekly “7”.
Hill said he hopes to start filming in the summer. In addition, the 83-year-old hinted at a return of his film character Trinita from the Western “The Devil’s Right and Left Hand” (1970, see photo gallery).
“The film begins like this: Trinita is shown on his famous ‘palanquin’ and then she, the nun, is surrounded by three menacing cowboys. He realizes that she is in danger and saves her from the three. Here begins the story that titled ‘Trinity, the Nun and the Revolver’,” said the Italian. Most recently, Terrence Hill was in front of the camera as a curious priest in 2022 for the crime series “Don Matteo”.
