A research work by the artist Lara Almarcegui on the housing complex of the Maisons Castors in Villeurbanne, resulting from a collaborative self-construction movement of the 1940s, through which groups of families built their homes by pooling their skills, which reminds us that each building carries the history of a place and that its conservation or not over time is an indicator of political will as well as social realities.
