The Association of Families of Students (AFA) of the Mas Clariana school in Cambrils is fighting to recover the second line of P3 that it lost at the beginning of this course. The school management requested the splitting of this line to accommodate 30 families, but the Territorial Services of Education in Tarragona, with whom the affected families met yesterday, have not studied this possibility, according to Jesús Jaria, a member of the AFA. During the meeting, Ensenyament told them that the splitting of the line would favor segregation.
With this decision, 16 of the families who pre-registered for this school, including six families from the Vilafortuny area, will not be able to take their children to this educational center next year.
The association has explained, in a statement, that the Territorial Services “are not acting in a fair and transparent manner” while “they are breaching current educational regulations.”
The AFA has announced that they will take legal action and take responsibility to clarify the situation, in addition to contacting the Síndic de Greuges.
