Al-Marsad newspaper: Al-Ittihad player Fahd Al-Mawlid’s business agent, Jarrah Al-Dhafiri, revealed the nature of the material that Al-Mawlid dealt with, and how it reached him.
Al-Dhafiri said, during an interview with the “Kora” program: “The substance taken by the generator is a diuretic, not a stimulant, as some players use it to hide doping substances.”
He pointed out: “With Fahd, the tests did not prove that he had used any other doping substances, and the penalty for this substance is light and not heavy, and the percentage that appeared in his body does not hide anything,” noting: “The Doping Committee’s interpretation of it is that this substance hides some factors inside the body.”
And he stated: “The player told the hearing that he inquired from the hospital doctor about the nature of the substance before taking it, and that the doctor told him that it was safe, and the hearing committee did not listen to the hospital doctor’s statements.”
He continued, “Al-Mawlid was sick before the two matches of cooperation in Al-Qassim in the league and cup championships, and on the day of travel, he entered the hospital and was assuring the doctor not to give him anything in his body.”
And he concluded, “The doctor gave him an injection and was careful not to get anything into his body. The doctor told him that it was a natural substance.”
