The anti-price increase decree / Cut excise duty on fuels until 8 July

During the passage to the Senate, the reduction in the rates of excise duty on fuels was extended from May 3 to July 8, 2022 for petrol and diesel (in the first case the measure of the excise duty goes from 728.40 to 478.40 euros per 1,000 liters; for diesel used as fuel, on the other hand, the excise duty is reduced from 617.40 to 367.40 euros per 1,000 liters). For LPG, the excise duty is 182.61 euros per thousand kg. The VAT rate applicable to the supply of natural gas for transport is reduced to 5 percent. To prevent the risk of speculative maneuvers on pump prices, the involvement of the Guarantor for price surveillance and the Competition and Market Authority is envisaged.
