attorney General’s Office (The Attorney General’s Office) noted that there were five luxury cars looted by the state in cases of alleged criminal acts PT Asuransi Jiwasraya corruption (Persero) which did not sell at auction.
In this auction, a total of 11 vehicles were sold and a profit of IDR 6.1 billion was made. The money from the auction will be used to cover state financial losses due to the Jiwasraya corruption case.
“Five vehicles were not sold because there was no offer (TAP),” said the head of the AGO’s Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum), Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak to reporters, Thursday (25/11).
He mentioned that the types of loot that were successfully sold were: a white Toyota Vellfire 2.5 G AT Minibus which sold for Rp644,993,000; one unit of the black Toyota Vellfire 2.5 G AT Minibus for IDR 746,016,000.
Then, one unit of minibus Toyota Alphard 2.5 for Rp.865,497,000; one unit of minibus Toyota Alphard Rp.666.350.000; one unit of black Mercedes Benz/E 300 AT sedan for Rp.308.853.000; one unit of Harley Davidson/FLHX Street Glide motorcycle for IDR 432,851,000.
Then, one unit of Mercedes Benz/E 300 for Rp700,376,000; one unit of Toyota Alphard GA Minibus for IDR 877,968,000; one unit of minibus Honda CR-V RM3 2WD for Rp207,807,000; two units of Toyota Kijang Innova minibuses for IDR 329,716,000 and IDR 325,654,000.
Leonard said that bidders have a deadline for payment until December 1. After the money is received, it will then be transferred by KPKNL Jakarta IV to the Central Jakarta District Attorney’s Escrow Account.
“The payment deadline for the auction winner is five working days, which is until December 1, 2021,” he said.
The Jiwasraya mega-corruption case is estimated to have cost the state finances up to Rp. 16,807 trillion. The convicts in this case are the President Commissioner of PT Trada Alam Minera, Heru Hidayat.
Then, the convict Benny Tjokrosaputro who was sentenced to life in prison after the judge of the Supreme Court (MA) rejected the appeal filed by the prosecutor and Benny.
Then, the Director of PT Maxima Integra, Joko Hartono Tirto was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Head of the Investment and Finance Division of PT AJS Syahmirwan was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Furthermore, former President Director of PT AJS Hendrisman Rahim and former Director of Finance of PT AJS Hary Prasetyo who have been executed to the Salemba Rutan. Hendrisman and Hary will serve 20 years in prison.
The Prosecutor’s Office is still trying to recover the state’s financial losses from the corruption case through assets seized from the convicts.
