Mário Rui was called up by national coach Fernando Santos, in view of the final double matchday of the League of Nations group stage, against the Czech Republic (24 September) and Spain (27 September).
The Napoli side was called to replace Raphael Guerreiro, from Borussia Dortmund, considered unfit by the USP (Health and Performance Unit) of the FPF.
Mário Rui, 31, has played 11 games for the National Team.
