THE BALL – Corinthians by Vítor Pereira defeated in the cup (Brazil)

Last morning, Corinthians of the Portuguese Vítor Pereira was defeated, by 0-2, in the visit to Atlético Goianense, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Brazilian Cup.

The home team was always more dominant, created the best opportunities and, in the 23rd minute, reached the first goal, through Jorginho, who finished an excellent collective play, with a low shot, a result with which the teams left for the break.

O helm, uninspired, had no arguments to counter the dragon and the first dangerous shot came in the 67′, with Giuliano shooting a few centimeters off the right post. Vítor Pereira promoted the debut of Argentinian Fausto Vera (65′), but, near the final whistle, Léo Pereira (88′) found space to shoot hard at the edge of the area and sentenced the result.
