Injured in the match against Croatia, last Sunday, Stephen Eustaquio, from FC Porto, has already said goodbye to the World Cup, since he won’t even be on the bench for this Thursday’s match against Morocco.
The Canadians already know that they are irremediably out of the competition, as a result of the defeats in the first two meetings, so the game with Morocco only serves to fulfill the schedule and say goodbye to Qatar.
Eustaquio should now return to FC Porto soon, where he will be reassessed for the injury suffered in his left thigh. He will hardly be included in Sérgio Conceição’s accounts for the game with Chaves, in the League Cup, scheduled for December 8th.
