THE BALL – Mourinho’s first winter signing has already signed (Rome)

Roma confirmed this Wednesday the signing of the Norwegian striker Ola Solbakken, who represented Bodo / Glimt, will be available to José Mourinho from January 2.

Solbakken, 24, was at the end of his contract with the Norwegian club and thus arrives at zero cost, a tense contract signed until June 30, 2027.

“I was trying really hard to get it, I really wanted to be a Roma player – and finally I can say that I am”, said Solbakken, quoted by the club’s website.

′′ Roma caught my attention from the beginning, I believe in the plans for the club and I wanted to be part of it. I come to learn and improve, but I also want to show what I’m capable of», he says.

International A for Norway, the winger arrived at Bodo/Glimt in 2020, coming from Ranheim, and has 17 goals and 21 assists in 82 games for the Norwegian team, which last season became known after the rout (6-1), precisely over to Rome, for the Conference League. In that match, Solbakken scored two of his team’s six goals. He scored again in the Rome encounter.
