Roger Schmidt has given the players a vacation until the next seven days, but he is in Portugal and has started fine-tuning details to attack the second half of the season. The technical team’s intention is to carry out a kind of new pre-season, seeking to physically reactivate the squad and recover competitive indices, counting on the previously announced friendly match against the Spaniards of Seville, on the 11th, at Estádio Algarve, and with the League Cup matches: on the 17th of December at Moreirense’s home and on the 22nd, if the team manages to qualify (they have to win in Moreira de Cónegos), in the quarter-finals of the competition – the opponent will leave Group G, where are Leixões, Feirense, Oliveirense, Arouca and Santa Clara.
The internationals who are in the World Cup will have a reintegration adequate to the time of game and absence. Alexander Bah, for example, has already returned home with Denmark and could join earlier at Seixal. The idea is to have the squad recovered and, as far as possible, complete and ready to re-enter the championship on the 30th, when traveling to Braga.
