THE BALL – «Team A? It seems just a step away» (FC Porto)

FC Porto announced, this Wednesday, the renewal of Jorge Meireles’ contract, although not revealing the duration of the new bond with the player.

The 18-year-old forward stressed that it is a great pride to be part of the dragons and that he is working hard to reach the first team.

«It is a pride for me to continue to belong to this club. It was something I had wanted for a long time. I am very happy and I hope that many more will come because I feel at home here», the young striker began by saying, speaking to the FC Porto website.

Jorge Meireles highlighted that he has been evolving since he arrived at the dragons: «I grew a lot as a player, I evolved a lot. The people who work at the club have helped me to evolve, not only as a player but also as a person.”

The striker believes he is on the right path to reach the main team of FC Porto: «I arrived here for the under-10 and already had the ambition to reach the A team. I am in the B team, it seems just a step away, but I still have a lot of work to do to get there.”
