The BEAC achieved a record net profit of 114 billion francs in 2022 (+ 129%)

DIG/ The Bank of Central African States (BEAC) has closed the 2022 financial year with an exceptional net profit of… 114 billion FCFA.

It’s on the rise 129% compared to 2021 (49.8 billion francs).

This is the biggest performance achieved by the central bank in the last 6 years.

In 2016, the institution released a record result of 164 billion FCFA thanks to the capital gain from the sale of securities in its investment portfolio.

According to the Governor of the BEAC, the financial statements will be officially presented during the first ordinary session of the Monetary Policy Committee.
