‘Telegraph’ says the Sporting coach pleases the red devils’ management
With Solskjaer’s departure from Manchester United, the vacancy for one of the most coveted ‘thrones’ in world football is now open. In recent hours, several names have been pointed out as chances to succeed the Norwegian and the ‘Telegraph’ reports that Mauricio Pochettino, current coach of Paris Saint-Germain, is the favorite of the red devils’ direction.
The British newspaper says, however, that it will be very difficult for Man. United to hire the Argentine coach, taking into account that Pochettino arrived in the French capital less than a year ago and has a contract with the club where the Portuguese Nuno Mendes and Danilo work until June of 2023.
In this scenario, the ‘Telegraph’ guarantees that there are alternatives on the table and one of them is Rúben Amorim, whose work developed at Sporting pleases the direction of United. The leonine coach, along with Julen Lopetegui, a former FC Porto coach and currently at Sevilla, is a sort of ‘plan B’ for Pochettino.
It should be noted that Rúben Amorim has said that he is not considering leaving Alvalade at this time, even showing himself to be receptive to renewal. The coach has a contract with Sporting until 2024 and a cancellation clause of 30 million euros.
