The National Rugby League announced on Monday that the clubs of Carcassonne and Grenoble, which play in Pro D2, have been sanctioned by the formation “Regulation of the French Rugby Disciplinary Council” (formerly “Higher Council of DNACG”). The US Carcassonne was given a suspension of three points in the classification and a fine of €20,000 including €13,000 suspended for “inconsistency and/or implausibility of the initial and/or updated budget”, and “non-respect regulatory provisions and decisions of the CCCP”.
Moreover, the FCG was penalized with a withdrawal of five points including two suspended points in the classification and a fine of €20,000 for “non-compliance with the regulatory provisions and decisions of the CCCP”. The LNR specifies that the two clubs have a period of 7 days to appeal these decisions.
