phi. The director of the New York Metropolitan Museum resigns. Born in Britain, Thomas Campbell will vacate his post at the end of June after eight and a half years at the helm of the renowned art museum, the Met announced on Tuesday. Met President Daniel Weiss is to temporarily fill the post until a new director is found.
