One of the most anticipated games in 2019, The Elder Scrolls VI is unlikely to be a breakthrough from a technological point of view. This is due to the fact that the project is created on the "native" engine of Bethesda called the Creation Engine. About this in an interview with the media said the head of the company Todd Howard.
It is worth recalling that for the first time the Creation Engine was used in the creation of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, released 7 years ago. A more updated version of the engine was used to create role-playing games like Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. In the last part of the post-apocalyptic franchise, the Creation Engine was updated with a new rendering system and a radically redesigned lighting and landscape modeling system.
However, according to the results of testing, it turned out that the speed of movement of the character is directly related to the frame rate, therefore, to correct this, Bethesda limited the maximum FPS. Howard concluded that the Creation Engine does a pretty good job of displaying huge spaces and is constantly improving.
