Facing the Chicago audience, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks made several references to CM Punk and the All Out 2022 altercation at AEW Dynamite.
The Elite didn’t shy away from poking fun at CM Punk in front of the Chicago crowd at AEW Dynamite.
Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks have returned to the AEW rings after a two-month suspension in an attempt to regain the Trios Championship titles, which they were the original holders for days after winning them at All Out 2022 , before having them removed following the incident with CM Punk and Ace Steel backstage at the pay-per-view.
With the Death Triangle victorious after the use of a hammer by Rey Fenix, it was decided to Best of 7 Series for the AEW Trios titles between the two clans.
This Wednesday evening during AEW Dynamite for the second match of this Best of 7 Series between The Elite and the Death Triangle for the Trios Championship, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks were greeted as you might imagine by the Chicago crowd: With chants of “CM Punk” and “F*ck The Elite”.

During the match the songs and snatches continue, and The Elite do not hesitate to restart the machine with several references to CM Punk during their match against Death Triangle. In particular, Kenny Omega will be seen biting PAC (yes, biting), a reminder of the rumors that Ace Steel had bitten Omega.
Kenny Omega who mimicked the Go To Sleep gesture a little earlier in the match, and then took the hold on PAC, again to the delight of the fans present.

Kenny Omega wants to move on
References to CM Punk and the AEW All Out 2022 altercation that don’t sit too well with Kenny Omega’s desire to see fans “move on” as he explained in an interview with Sports Illustrated this week .
“There are things no one can talk about, so I encourage people to move on. » wishes Kenny Omega. “It doesn’t change the fact that we want to produce a team effort within AEW. I don’t even implicitly talk about me and my opponent. It also means the referee, the fans, the people who set up the ring, everyone — even a technical error can ruin the memory of a match. Like the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch.
“So I encourage people to move on because there’s nothing to talk about. » term Omega. “Although I can’t speak about it, I want the fans to know that I always want the best for wrestling. »
CM Punk is still sidelined, suspended and recovering from his sudden injury at All Out 2022, and his future in the promotion still remains uncertain. The Wrestling Observer reports in passing that the CM Punk camp would not have liked this Wednesday’s match too much. Oddly.
