Americans struggling to lower their cholesterol will have another medication at their disposal, after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. UU. Approved a new medication from Esperion Therapeutics Inc.

The Esperion pill, once a day, bempedoic acid, is the first oral non-statin approved in almost two decades.
