The Catalan lawn suffered a lot this summer and the storm which exploded just before the match against Toulon degraded it even more.
At the start of the season, the lawn of Aimé-Giral is suffering. Like the vast majority of pitches, that of the USAP experienced a complicated summer, due to the heat wave and the lack of water. During the Catalans’ victory against Toulon on Saturday, the violent storm which broke out just before the match left the pitch in a sorry state at the end of the match.
Obviously, this situation caught the eye of the Castres, who come to Perpignan, Saturday, at 5 p.m. as part of the fifth day of Top 14. “I hope that the gardeners of Aimé-Giral will work well this week, because they have a lot of work”, launched, teasingly, the Tarn center Thomas Combezou, to our colleagues from Actu.fr.
It must be said that the Castres have been playing since this season on a new hybrid lawn, which seems to have resisted the climatic conditions of the summer much better than the vast majority of lawns in the Top 14.
