The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced his readiness to defend against Russia
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Zagorodniuk said that the country is ready to "defend itself" in the event of a Russian attack. He said this in an interview with TSN.
According to Zagorodniuk, the Ukrainian department “has a ready answer” to a similar scenario. The minister also said that Kiev continues to cooperate with NATO, noting that the alliance supplies weapons and equipment to Ukraine, and also helps with the training of fighters.
Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said that the country was moving towards the abolition of compulsory draft in the army, calling this decision the position of the state.
In early November, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that it was necessary to create a military police in the country's defense department. The head of Ukraine also instructed the Ministry of Defense before the end of this year to introduce a new, integrated NATO leadership and command and control system for Ukrainian defense forces.
