The Impact of the Spike in Covid, the UAE Bans All Flights from RI!

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) issued an entry ban for travelers from Indonesia in line with the surge in positive cases of COVID-19 in recent times.

As reported by Reuters, Saturday (10/7/2021), this ban will take effect from July 11, 2021. Apart from Indonesia, the ban also applies to Afghan citizens except for transit flights to both countries.

The UAE also prohibits its citizens from traveling to Indonesia and Afghanistan unless they have diplomatic missions, emergency medical treatment, official delegations for economics and science with the permission of the competent authorities.

Data from the Ministry of Health noted that on Saturday (10/7/2021) until 12:00 WIB, the number of Covid-19 cases increased by 35,094 people to 2,491,006 people.

The good news is that 28,561 people have recovered, bringing the total to 2,052,109 million. However, the number of deaths continues to increase along with the increase in cases. Today, the number of people who died due to Covid-19 increased by 826 people, bringing the total to 65,457 people.
