The Kremlin does not yet have a clear position on the proposal to exempt low-income citizens of Russia from personal income tax (NDFL). This was announced by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reports.

He noted that the discussion of such ideas is in the competence of the government.

"If I am not mistaken, there is currently no clear, developed, articulated position on this issue, but as for the discussion of this idea, I ask you to send the matter to the government," the Kremlin spokesman said.

The government previously said that this initiative was not discussed in the Cabinet.

On Monday, April 15, Izvestia reported that the Russian Tripartite Commission under the Russian government is considering the abolition of personal income tax for low-income citizens. We are talking about the Russians with salaries below 11.2 thousand rubles.
