On April 29, the National Transitional Council adopted the law establishing an Armed Forces Health Insurance Fund (CAMA). They voted with 60 votes for, 1 against and 1 abstention. The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, General Daoud Yaya Brahim, defended the text at the Palace of Democracy.
The purpose of the CAMA is to provide military personnel and their family members with health care services and disease prevention.
The CAMA has among other missions: the affiliation and registration of insured military personnel and their dependents, the collection of contributions, the agreement, reimbursements by the payment of benefits and any other missions that may be entrusted to it, etc.
