The decisive clash for promotion cannot finally be seen in the three points of the city due to television rights
The League has prevented the decisive match for promotion this Sunday at 8:00 p.m. from being seen on the giant screens in Eibar. The idea was, in addition to decorating the small municipality with flags in the bars and balconies, to meet at three points in the city (in Plaza Unzaga, in Parque Urkizu and at the beginning of Calle Tiburcio Anitua in the Amaña neighbourhood) so that all the neighbors who wanted to get closer and did not travel to Madrid, could enjoy a day that can go down in the history of the gun club.
After not being able to celebrate the mathematical promotion last Saturday in the stands of Ipurua due to the victory of Valladolid (despite the triumph of Garitano’s men), the gunsmith fans that are not on site in Alcorcón will finally have to settle for watching the game from his house or in the bars, since the television rights do not allow him to be able to see it on the large LED screens that were going to be installed to follow the minute by minute of the game. As this newspaper learned in the middle of the afternoon on Tuesday, the league did not allow this match to be broadcast, which will be seen on the Gol channel. In addition, in the morning a press release had been issued by the City Council in which Mayor Jon Iraola spoke that “from the mayor’s office, through SD Eibar, we contacted the League to find out if the legal requirements allowed us to place the screens and, as soon as we have obtained the approval, we have started the necessary procedures to install them”, they stated. Hours later, it was made official that this was not real.
The players, however, will feel the heat and push of the nearly five hundred who are going to travel 422 kilometers by road to Alcorcón. The 300 tickets that the potter’s club has sent are put on sale today from 9:30 am at the Orsaixan service office at 30 euros each. Each subscriber may purchase a maximum of two tickets and it will be mandatory to provide name, surname and ID. In addition, another 200 locations will be made available to gunsmiths at 40 euros in an area adjacent to the one reserved for visiting fans. Santo Domingo is going to be a hive from start to finish.
sold out rooms
Also, those who are going to travel to Madrid and do not do it with the buses of the clubs that the club will provide free of charge (on Sunday at 7.30 in the morning and return after the match), should pay attention to the place where they want to stay for the night, since practically all the rooms of the hotels in Alcorcón are sold out. There are still some free beds at the B&B hotel at 57 euros, which is located 3.6 kilometers from the Santo Domingo municipal stadium.
