The match between L'Entregu and the Caudal scheduled for next Sunday will be postponed. The replacement works of the artificial turf in the Nuevo Nalón field, where the match will be played, motivate the change of the date of the match. The two teams will meet next Wednesday, day 22, at 8:15 p.m., said the president of L'Entregu, José Luis Cueva.
Although initially it was anticipated that the field could be used next Sunday, the works have been delayed by "the inclement weather," Cueva said. In addition, the field needs the approval of municipal technicians before it can be used.
Therefore, with the approval of Caudal and the Asturian Football Federation, it has been decided to postpone the match. L 'Entregu also seeks alternatives for the matches that would have to be played by the rest of the club's teams in the New Nalón next weekend as well as the training sessions for the next few days, until the field is ready. The match against Caudal was scheduled for Sunday at 16.30. Finally it will be played three days later.
The works of substitution of the artificial turf of the New Nalón began at the end of December, taking advantage of the Christmas break in the competitions, and after the match that faced L'Entregu with the Llanes, the works began. The initial forecast indicated that the action would end for this next weekend if there were no obstacles that would increase the execution period established.
The works in the field of L 'Entregu, a very demanded renovation from the football team, have a budget of 133,087 euros. Nine companies were submitted to the contest called by the City Council of San Martín del Rey Aurelio. Limonta Sport Ibérica Sport was the firm chosen to execute the works. The calendar established that after the Christmas break in the Third Division, L'Entregu would play the first two meetings away from home, against Covadonga and Barcelona. The next would be in the New Nalón.
This programming allowed the works to change the lawn, very damaged, to be addressed now, during the season. The plenary session of the City Council of San Martín approved the signing of the agreement with L 'Entregu in September to execute the action. The tender budget amounted to 181,385 euros. Of these, the Principality would contribute 90,000 euros and the City Council of San Martín del Rey Aurelio allocated 61,385 euros while the football club would allocate the remaining 30,000 euros to complete the financing. Finally, the investment necessary to undertake the replacement of the artificial turf of the L 'Entregu field decreased in the awarding procedure to 133,087 euros.
