The ship, which flies the Italian flag, is owned by the German company Aida Cruises, under the management of the Italian company Costa Cruises. Built by the German shipyard Meyer Werft (Papenbourg), she was launched in 2010. 253 m long and 32 m wide, she can accommodate 2,174 passengers.
