First, the National Meteorological Service issued a second (orange) alarm to Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén and Heves counties, and then to the territory of Nógrád county due to the risk of thunderstorms.
In the affected area, more than 50 mm of rain may fall from intense showers and thunderstorms in a short time.
The OMSZ also drew attention to the expected downpour on the community side.
“While the precipitation zone above Northern Transdanubia has lost some of its strength, the cells emerging in the Northern Central Mountains are only now strengthening. Due to the poor flow there, there is a higher chance of a more severe downpour, so the orange alarm was issued! Of course, there will be no downpour in the designated area as a whole, but there is a chance for it! ”They wrote in the post.
