The Minister of Digital Economy completes his visit to the Backbone facilities in the provinces of Haut-Ogooue and Ogooué-Lolo.

The Minister of the Digital Economy, Jean Pierre Doukaga Kassa, has just completed his series of visits of more than 72 hours, of the deployment sites of the Gabonese National Backbone (BNG) to Optical Fiber in Haut-Ogooue and Ogooué -Lolo.
The towns of Leconi and Bongoville, in the province of Haut-Ogooué, were the last stages of this journey. An inspection visit which allowed the member of the government to touch the doingt, the realities of the operation of the infrastructures entrusted within the framework of the agreement of Delegation of the Public service (DSP) to AXIONE Gabon, subcontractor of the company of Heritage of the Digital Infrastructures (SPIN).
Minister Doukaga Kassa was therefore able to appreciate the efforts made in the maintenance of equipment respectively in the centers of Leconi and Bongoville. The first constitutes the last node of the network. Indeed, the Leconi Technical Center should be used to connect telecom operators and the various administrative services, in particular the prefecture, the town hall, the county council and the high school.
An identical operation for the second. Because the Bongoville Technical Center will also have to allow this connection. This center is the node and transit point of the fiber optic cable for network continuity to Leconi.
As a reminder, this BNG is 1020 km long and distributed between the provinces of the estuary, the middle Ogooué, the Ogooué ivindo, the Ogooué Lolo and the upper Ogooué. It is mainly deployed along the rail line from Owendo to Franceville and incidentally on the road sections.
