The project "Commanders of Victory: Peaceful Moments of Fate" was implemented jointly with the Fund for the Memory of Commanders of Victory. It is dedicated to the daily life of the commanders of the Great Patriotic War.
Among the posted photographs are previously unpublished photographs from the generals' family albums, which are captured at home: in a circle of loved ones, on vacation, and for their hobbies. In addition, warlords appear in the photo loving fathers, grandfathers and husbands.
In the section there are photos of Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov on vacation in Sochi and Konstantin Rokossovsky on a hunt, Chief Marshal of the armored forces Amazas Babajanyan dancing with his wife, and Semyon Budyonny, who was photographed with his young son in uniform.
The photographs show that Marshal of the Soviet Union, Andrei Eremenko, preferred billiards in his moments of rest, and Marshal of the engineering troops Nikolai Shestopalov, even during his working trip to Cuba, found time for a game of chess.
After the celebration of the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, soldiers, residents and guests of Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg, Severomorsk and Khabarovsk will be able to familiarize themselves with the exposition of the photo exhibition.
