59-year-old Hans Van Bylen worked for Henkel for 35 years, almost his entire career. The Antwerp-born economist joined Henkel as product manager for Belgian operations before moving to its headquarters in Düsseldorf in 1992.

Catherine Vandenborre, for her part, made a name for herself as financial director of the electricity transmission system operator Elia, until obtaining the title of financial director of the year in the economic magazine Trends in 2019. She also holds a management position at Proximus.
