The new generation of the Mazda BT-50 arrived with great innovations that add to its range two new body options, dedicated to work. The versions were presented in Australia, one of its main markets.
The Mazda BT-2021 debuted in Australia in June of this year signifying an important evolution, after nine years of not updating. Now the range of the global pick-up is expanded, with two new body options called Single Cab y Freestyle Cab.
Its name says it all, and it is that these adapted versions focused on work, are characterized by having a simple cab and versatile chassis which can serve different cargo needs.
Although versions of the BT-50 with single cab were previously known, this new format makes it easier for you to adapt to different jobs. Compared to the previous generation, the Single Cab and Freestyle Cab is 50 kilograms lighter.
Apart from the differences in their exterior design, the new single cab versions share many characteristics and properties with the standard double cab model. They will be available in configuration 4 × 2 or 4 × 4 and they will have six-speed automatic transmission.
The engine is also the same, a 3.0-liter four-cylinder Turbo diesel capable of generating a power of 188 horsepower, combining 450 Nm of torque. By opting for the 4WD configuration, the gearbox can be six-speed manual.
The brand offers some exclusive elements for the new models, with a package called XT. This includes 17 inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, electronically adjustable side mirrors, black fabric upholstery, air conditioning and power windows.
For its part, the security and assistance package consists of adaptive cruise control, eight airbags, attention assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot alert, lane keeping, hill start assistant, among others.
At australian market, the prices of the new Mazda BT-50 Single Cab and Freestyle Cab, start from $ 25,800 and $ 28,260 US dollars, respectively.
