Sony recently held a PlayStation State of Play event earlier this month and also unveiled a number of upcoming PS VR2 titles alongside several titles from Capcom. However, it appears that SIE (Sony Interactive Entertainment) may not be done with new announcements and updates for the summer as speculation suggests another State of Play event could be scheduled for next week.
This is backed by claims from journalists Jason Schreier and Tom Henderson that suggest Sony could be preparing for more announcements later this month. Schreier reported earlier this month that PlayStation could be ready to announce God of War Ragnarok’s release date by the end of this month, giving further credence to rumors that there could be a State of Play next week India in June 365: Here Are All the Games that come with it

God of War Ragnarok has been one of the most anticipated games of this generation of consoles since it was first announced in 2020. The game is currently slated for release in 2022 and neither Santa Monica Studios nor SIE have given any news of a delay yet.
On the hardware side, there are rumors that Sony is working on a “Pro” variant of the PS5 Dualsense Controller that will include high-end features like detachable analog sticks and rear paddles with face buttons. Henderson also claims that Sony could unveil its new line of H-series gaming monitors and “INZONE” headsets, and that they could be part of next week’s State of Play announcements.
This summer has been quite an exciting time for gamers with many important announcements from major publishers as well as fantastic indie studios. Events like Steam Next Fest have helped showcase creative new indie titles like the upcoming Midnight Fight Express, Anger Foot and Metal: Hellsinger. It will be interesting to see what kind of announcements Sony will make if a State of Play is indeed scheduled for next week.
