The patience in the Corona crisis was worth it! – www.faw.de

At first the pandemic threw a spanner in the works, but Ms G. was undeterred: After almost a year of waiting she took her chance from September 1st, 2021 professional reorientation and health stabilization in preparation for her desired retraining as an office management clerk. Ms G. took part as part of the established benefit for participation in working life (LTA) “STEP”which is based on our many years of proven cooperation with the Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund.

The 44-year-old, who has many years of professional experience as a hotel clerk is highly motivated, focused and determined from the outset to make a fresh start professionally, despite the proportionate illness-related limitations. However, she deliberately did not return to her old job. Instead, she heeded hers socio-medical recommendationto minimize the risk of recurrence and disease recurrence.

The nine-month LTA “STEP” included Discussion offers, targeted exercises and practical tests, which helped Mrs. G. to cope with insecurities, fears and worries. Negative experiences had previously led to a feeling of permanent overload and even depression. She wondered whether she would actually have the necessary performance and stamina for the new challenges. In the “STEP” Ms. G. was able to regain her self-confidence. With the strengthening of her mental constitution, one soon went improved job performance along. Ms G. benefited from her courage to change as well as from the support by our multi-professional team.

The success of the LTA “STEP” is the reason why Mrs. G. zur further cooperation with FAW gGmbH has decided: From May 30, 2022, it will start digitally with the module “Basic skills in commercial professions” and will then become the two-year retraining as a clerk for office management graduate As an experienced learning process facilitator, Ms. Widera-Hattenhorst will support Ms. G. in word and deed, so that her big “STEP” to the new job remains a success story.

We wish Ms. G. every success!
