The perfume-cosmetics sector offers a wide variety of jobs

Make the public, young and old alike, schoolchildren and job seekers, want to discover professions in a different way and in particular those of perfumery and cosmetics, ”says Sébastien Odon, project manager at the Maison de the employment of Chartres Métropole.

“The Cosmetic Experience Tour is a unique event in the form of a tour in four cities of the Center-Val de Loire region in 2021-2022: Chartres, Orléans, Tours and Blois. Within a space entirely thought out and devoted to the cosmetics industry, the public is immersed and accompanied within an experiential and informative discovery trail. He will be able to discover trades, training, companies. He will be able to identify aptitudes, skills and orientation paths. He will be able to learn the economic fabric, the industrial world, products and processes. An experience on registration to limit the number of participants and improve the quality of user journeys ”, assures the manager.

For a suitable and understandable speech, the day is divided into two parts. The morning is devoted to school children and the rest of the day to job seekers, families and retraining employees. In a space dedicated to experimentation, five workshops will be held that are both educational, participatory and fun of about 20 minutes. The facilitator of each workshop will present a problematic of the perfume and cosmetics industry through an experience. The audience, made up of around thirty participants, will have to answer them together by trying their hand at tasks relating to trades in the sector.

From production to maintenance and packaging

“The first workshop will present the production process of a cosmetic product or a perfume. The other four workshops will focus on shortage occupations and pillars of the sector. The facilitators will offer an interactive discovery of the jobs of line operator (production), maintenance technician (maintenance), packaging project manager (packaging) and formulator (formulation). Then, participants will be able to meet training organizations and companies from the Cosmetic Valley in Center-Val de Loire within the Village area ”, explains Sébastien Odon.
