The Pokémon TCG: Lost Origin expansion will bring back the Lost Zone

The Pokémon Company has released Pokémon TCG: Lost Origina new expansion of the Trading Card game that will go on sale this September 9, 2022, just a few weeks after the Pokémon World Championships.

The Pokémon TCG: Lost Origin will bring a major change to the metagame, bringing back the Lost Zone of game. This mechanic, which was deprecated a few years ago, works similar to the discard pile, with the difference that cards that reach the Lost Zone cannot be retrieved. Giratina V-Astro will be one of the cards in this set that can take advantage of this mechanic.

Additionally, this expansion will continue to incorporate Hisui creatures originally introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus such as Hisui V-Astro’s Zoroark and Hisui V-Astro’s Goodra. It will also add new Radiant Pokémon, such as Radiant Gardevoir, embossed illustrated cards that portray Shiny Pokémon, which usually include a very powerful attack or ability.

Here are some of the noteworthy cards in this expansion:

  • Three new Radiant Pokémon
  • Six Pokémon V-ASTRO
  • 14 Pokémon V y un Pokémon VMAX
  • 30 cards illustrating fan-favorite Trainers with their Pokémon in the Trainer Gallery subset

The Pokémon TCG: Lost Origin will be available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and special collections.
