The prefect issues a new prefectural order regulating helicopter movements in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez » PACA’s economic and political letter

HELICOPTERS – The prefectural decree of June 21, 2022 sets out the new national provisions on helicopter movements at the local level.

> Decree No. 2022-746 of April 27, 2022 modifying the provisions relating to the landing and take-off of aircraft outside aerodromes and creating a sanction system;
> the ministerial decree of April 24, 2022 amending the decree of May 6, 1995 relating to aerodromes and other sites used by helicopters.

This order concerns the municipalities of Ramatuelle, Saint-Tropez, Gassin, Grimaud, Cogolin, La Môle, Croix-Valmer and Sainte-Maxime.
It supervises the movements of private and commercial helicopters in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez throughout the year to preserve the quality of life of residents as well as public order and safety.
In application of national provisions, the use of helipads is subject to prior declaration.
The decree specifies in particular the timetables for movements according to the periods of the year, the daily and weekly limitations of movements, the information constituting the declaration file and the penalties applicable in the event of non-compliance with the provisions
regulations.
The sub-prefecture of Draguignan, the zonal direction of the police at the borders-Zone Sud, the gendarmerie company of air transport of Nice as well as the direction of the security of the civil plane Sud-Est are in charge of its implementation. .
