The program will introduce new content each month
ONALASKA, Wis. (WKBT) – A new program linking people in rural communities living with dementia.
Memories Community Grounds Café is a program for people with dementia, their carers, family, and friends.
The program is designed once a month for different communities throughout County La Crosse.
The first event began with storytelling at Onalaska Public Library.
Poetry and an article about old cars were part of the topics.
The group then talked about memories that came to them during the event.
Telling news can help people with dementia and their families to be in control.
“You can't be wrong, no matter what your thought, or about the stretch, that is your story. So, people living in the community with dementia, right or wrong, were often mixed and mixed, ”said Kelsey Flock, County C Crosse Dementia Care Specialist.
The program introduces new topics each month.
