The Prosecutor's Office of Tatarstan canceled the decision of the UK to initiate criminal proceedings against an entrepreneur from Bugulma suspected of killing two persons committed in excess of the necessary defense limits. This is reported on the agency's website.

The day before, the regional department of the TFR initiated 41-year-old Yevgeny Dedanin case on the part 1 of Art. 108 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder committed in excess of the necessary defense limits). According to investigators, in the morning of September 12 three men entered the entrepreneur's house. Threatening "objects similar to firearms – a gun," they attacked Dedanin and his friend and tied their hands. However, the owner of the house and his friend managed to get free, after which the businessman several times struck the attackers with a knife.

Two attackers died from the injuries received on the spot, the third managed to escape, but soon he was detained. The attackers were residents of the Samara region. The investigators opened a criminal investigation into the robbery (Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

With respect to Dedanin, a measure of procedural coercion was chosen in the form of an obligation of appearance, a number of examinations were appointed.

However, the prosecutor's office found the decision to institute proceedings against the businessman unlawful. "The Bugulma businessman acted in the conditions of necessary defense. The conclusion of the investigation of exceeding the limits of necessary defense by objective data has not been confirmed, "the ministry said.

According to Part 1 of Art. 37 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, it is not a crime to harm an "assailant in a state of necessary defense, that is, in the protection of the individual and the rights of the defending or other persons protected by law, the interests of society or the state from socially dangerous assault, if this assault was associated with violence dangerous for life of a defending or other person, or with an immediate threat of such violence ".

The collected materials were sent to the investigative body for additional verification and procedural decision-making.
