The Verkhovna Rada supported the early termination of the powers of Igor Abramovich, a people’s deputy from the banned Opposition Platform for Life party.

Details: 317 deputies voted for the corresponding decision.
For reference: In 2019, Abramovich was elected a people’s deputy of the 9th convocation from the Opposition Platform – For Life party (number 14 on the party list) and was a member of the faction of the same name in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the honest movement, from February 24 to June 1, 2022, the people’s deputy missed all meetings of the Rada for which there is data.

- In August 2022, Ukrayinska Pravda reported that Igor Abramovich, a people’s deputy from the banned OPL party, lives on the Cote d’Azur in France.
- In January, it became known that Abramovich, who had been living on the Cote d’Azur since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, had returned to Ukraine.
- In August 2022, the Verkhovna Rada tried to adopt a resolution to terminate the powers of all parliamentarians from the Opposition Platform for Life party, but this decision failed.
- On January 13, the Verkhovna Rada prematurely terminated the powers of People’s Deputies Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak, Andriy Derkach, Renat Kuzmin (who lost their citizenship of Ukraine) and Andriy Aksyonov (at their own request).
- On February 6, Igor Abramovich, who was elected from the banned OPPL party, wrote a letter of resignation.
