In Burgundy Franche-Comté, 1,353 people sick with Covid-19 are, this Wednesday, April 7, 2021, hospitalized in health establishments, including 181 in intensive care (read below).

Figures that have led the Regional Health Agency (ARS) to ask hospitals to move to the ultimate level of their reception capacities. On the scale of Bourgogne Franche-Comté, this corresponds to 1,700 medical beds for people affected by Covid-19, 300 beds in intensive care and 140 in intensive care.

More deprogramming, a call for volunteers

“The objectives are to guarantee each patient in need of a bed in medical service or treatment in intensive care or intensive care units, to strengthen the territorial gradation of critical care units to streamline the pathways, and to increase the mobilization of downstream services, “said the ARS in a press release.

In order to mobilize more human and material resources, the ARS also invites health establishments to increase the number of deprogramming of surgical and medical activities deemed “non-urgent”. “These deprogramming are the subject of collegial decisions of the medical community of each establishment, taken with regard to the state of health of each patient”, specifies the ARS.

Finally, the agency calls for the reinforcements of caregivers: “All available health professionals are invited to register on the national platform for reinforcement and solidarity developed by the Ministry of Solidarity and Health”. The RenfortRH platform should make it possible to put in contact the volunteers and the structures which expressed the wish to be reinforced.
