The remodeling of Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro is almost ready – Counter-Reply

Claudia Sheinbaum, head of government of CDMX, has reported that the entire civil works process will be completed in February and willn March, the operational tests of the Jump of Line 1 of the Metro that goes from Salto del Agua to Pantitlán will begin.

He pointed out that the Line 1 had 53 years of life, there was already a lot of wear and tear, so they are making a whole new line. In addition, he emphasized that all the civil works will be finished in February, so that tests with the trains can begin in March.

On the other hand, he highlighted that at the moment Zaragoza is taking 97 percent complete with the placement of ballast, sleepers, guide bar, bearing track, among other elements. In addition, work is being done on the placement of track devices, which allow the train to change from one rail to another.

New marblework was also placed on the floors, all the wall panels were changed, as well as the luminaires on platforms, walkways, vestibules, ticket offices and technical rooms; The ticket offices were also remodeled.
