The second part of the Dune got the green light

A Done The second part of the sci-fi, titled “, will go on sale in cinemas in October 2023,” Warner Bros. announced.

The world premiere of the first part of the film, directed by Denis Villeneuve, was in September at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. It was shown in North American cinemas and in parallel on the HBO Max streaming service provider last week and sold $ 41 million on its opening weekend. And in international markets, it generated $ 225 million in ticket revenue.
After filming the Dune by David Lynch in 1984, Villeneuve worked on the story starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, and Josh Brolin for Warner Bros. The film would have originally been shown in cinemas in the fall of 2020, postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Villeneuve and the film’s cast have previously stated that they want to do a sequel to the film to complete the story of political dynasties fighting for domination of an important planet. The only question was whether the ticket revenue for the $ 165 million film alone would be enough to ensure a return to the barren land of the planet Arrakis. However, Warner Bros. did not commit to the project until Tuesday’s announcement.
