Shopping Center “Spice” the total turnover of the stores in 2022 increased by 44.8% and was 140.1 million euros without value added tax, according to the last year’s report of the shopping center manager SIA “Tirdzniciecs centrs Pleskodāle”.

In general, 5.8 million visitors visited the “Spice” shopping center in 2022, which is 26% more than in 2021. At the same time, the management report of the annual review notes that the number of visitors has not yet reached the level it was before the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Shopping Center Pleskodāle” worked last year with a turnover of 13.565 million euros, which is 31.6% more than a year earlier, and the company also made a profit of 1.542 million euros, as opposed to losses a year earlier.
The management report of the annual report states that at the beginning of last year, the company’s operations were affected by the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic, and later on by Russia’s war in Ukraine, which contributed to the rise in energy prices.
The management report states, – last year, in order to reduce the burden of costs attributable to tenants, various activities were carried out to reduce the consumption of energy resources, for example, reduced cooling and air ventilation capacity, as well as replaced the gas boiler.
At the same time, the management report mentions that last year “Pleskodāle Shopping Center” worked on the brand strategy, as well as invested in the modernization of the “Spice” shopping center. Last year, the company invested 3.7 million euros in the replacement of the floor covering, the renovation of the amenities and “Palmu Alley”. The reconstruction took place on an area of 6,523.6 square meters.
Commenting on the future prospects, the company’s management indicates that this year it is planned to increase the number of customer visits and the turnover of “Shopping Center Pleskodāle”, bringing it closer to the figures of 2019.
It is also planned to invest 6.4 million euros in the modernization of the “Spice” shopping center.
This year, the company has set as its operational goal to fully lease the premises of the “Spice” shopping center, expanding and renovating the premises of the existing traders. It is also planned to attract new traders, such as “Ballzy Ballery”, “Given”, “Salamander”, “Change Lingerie” and to develop an entertainment center.
In 2021, “Pleskodāle Shopping Center” worked with a turnover of 10.302 million euros and a loss of 3.522 million euros.
“Pleskodāle Shopping Center” was registered in 2000, and its share capital is 711,432 euros. The company is owned by “Kapitel” (75%) and “Tristafan” (25%) registered in Estonia.
