The traditional Töss relay is back

This year, the schools’ Lausport event will take place again on June 21, 2022 at the riding arena in Winterthur Töss. More than 2500 students are registered at the start.

Exactly 2511 students from all over the canton of Zurich are taking part in 279 teams in this year’s Töss relay. The mixed teams start in six categories from the fourth primary class to the third secondary class. Start and finish is the riding arena in Winterthur Töss.

Thanks to the Zürcher Kantonalbank, which has been supporting this school sports event for many years, the classes can again take part without an entry fee. The start is staggered from 1 p.m. and the announcement of the rankings takes place at 3 p.m.

The 16.4 kilometers to be covered are divided into nine sections between 1.2 and 2.3 kilometers. The definitive rankings are published on the Internet. The Töss relay has been one of the largest school sports events in the canton of Zurich for years.

Traffic restrictions during the event

This running event takes place in all weather conditions. More information can be found on the city’s website. Spectators and the media are welcome to cheer on the participants and capture impressions of the colorful sporting activities.

Access to the riding arena is closed from 11 a.m. It is advisable to use bus number 1 to the final stop in Töss or bus number 5 to Rosenau or Steigmühle. Parking is available near the start and finish area at the Rossberg car park and is signposted accordingly.
